LANGUAGE COURSES
Coordinated in association with the University of Havana, Transnico offers an alternative and comprehensive way to learn Spanish. Participants learn Spanish while observing Cuba's complex social, political and economic life, while enjoying Cuba's vibrant culture. Participants are encouraged to register for a minimum of one month, which provides students with the most comprehensive study program. If you would like to study beyond one month, simply sign up for a two or four week extension course. Elementary, intermediate, advances and perfectionist courses are available.
The Spanish Language Program combines classroom instruction with field trips, meetings with Cuban experts and visit community projects, and much more. Spend the first week learning about the economy, politics, social programs and the culture of Cuba. Talk to Cuban community leaders and experts representing the various fields in order to better understand the present questions that Cubans are posing in their communities and the ideas that are shaping their move to a more sustainable future. Enjoy two weekends outside Havana. Spend the rest of your time exploring what interests you.
As a travel agent Transnico offers the lodging of the participants of this program, the coordination with the university for the courses and the organizations of the visits.
Here a reaction of a happy student, Michael (28, San Francisco):
"I'm planning to stay a little longer on my own after the program is over. As a first experience in Cuba, it's great, very informative, lots of tours and opportunities to study Spanish with excellent professors, talking with the people and getting knowledge about Cuban everyday life. We have been treated very well; we went to the country side, to health clinics, community centers and lots of social and cultural activities. Music and dance are one of the most incredible things here, because it's so integral, it goes into everyone's life. The Spanish classes are hard, but eh professors are great and I have learned very much. I think everything was very well organized, our guides are great and very nice people".
