For difficult road passages as Santiago - Ciego de Avila we suggest the super fast coche motor, a train with all accommodations on board, faster, securer than any bus and a true "Cuban experience" passing by many small sugar cane stations, making a stop in the historic city of Camagüey. A few agreeable days can be spent in the center of the island at the Caribbean seashore city of Cienfuegos. The city offers the best of history, beach and night life and is a great base to explore the nature of the area like the mountains of Escambray with El Nicho waterfalls or the horse riding in the rural town of Florencia.
If culture is your thing the world heritage colonial city of Trinidad and the city of Che Guevara Santa Clara are not far away. We continue to the province of Pinar del Río where the tobacco region of Viñales undoubtedly will enchant you. And we do not forget the biosphere of Las Terrazas and its great restaurant facilities.
